ISO-THERM – Thin Internal Wall Insulation (TIWI)

ISO-THERM is a unique and innovative thermal wall insulation product designed to create warm, dry walls while promoting energy efficiency. This product is based on a patented, specially woven polyester material which is ultra-thin, with a thickness of around 4mm.

Available in rolls of 1 meter width, ISO-THERM is not only flexible and lightweight but can also adapt to a variety of wall finishes. Its ease of use and flexibility allows it to be cut and fit around features like light switches, sockets, and radiator brackets. The material’s malleability enables it to be fitted easily into and around window reveals.

Installation of ISO-THERM is minimally invasive, often allowing for door architraves and skirtings to remain in place. The insulation is affixed to walls using a unique ISO-THERM adhesive, typically applied to the wall in a 5mm thick layer. Once ISO-THERM is secured and rolled into the adhesive and after a direct plaster skim coat, the overall finished depth is approximately 10mm.

ISO-THERM is both vapour permeable and waterproof, which helps resist lateral damp transference, preventing the formation of efflorescent salts due to natural surface nitrates and chlorides. Moreover, due to its high thermal efficiency and the prevention of damp transference, ISO-THERM significantly inhibits the formation of surface mould.
