Water will be prevented from entering as soon as possible.Excess material can be levelled off with a trowel following setting.

Drybase Waterproof Plug can also be applied in dry form to add a measure of waterproofing to substrates where a single cause of water seepage cannot be found.

Tough Protection For Any Area

The erosion-resistant mortar is highly effective for elements affected by rain and for the shoring of canal sealing.

Drybase Waterproof Plug may also be used to repair cracks and flaws in water-retaining structures like bunds or water tanks. Plug leaks in cracked earthenware pipes.

Water ingress can be immediately stopped in small areas where steel contacts concrete to prevent erosion prior to concrete repair.

No Leak To Big – No Leak To Small

The Drybase Waterproofing Plug can be used for any repairs. It can seal earthenware pipes, as well as stone, concrete, and masonry.

Application

Application for Drybase Waterproof Plug:

Preparation

The substrate must be clean, sound and free of any surface contamination. Leaks must be cut out back to sound material, leaving an appropriate chase for receiving the Drybase Waterproofing Plug.

Mixing

Setting time is dependent largely on the amount of mixing water used. Standard value is (at 20 °C): 1 mixing ratio: 1kg Drybase Waterproofing Plug added to 0.25 litres water.
The Drybase Waterproofing Plug must be added to the water and mixed swiftly. Mixing time is about 15 seconds. After mixing it should set in about 30 seconds. In cold weather, use lukewarm water. In higher temperatures, use cold water.

Application

To avoid wastage, only small quantities of Drybase Waterproofing Plug should be mixed.

After mixing, apply the Drybase Waterproofing Plug to the appropriate area immediately. Work the mixture well into the area and then hold firmly in place for about 30 seconds (wear rubber gloves).

  • Maintain pressure without disturbing the material, until it has set.
  • Remove excess material (scrape off with a trowel).
  • After lightly prewetting apply a normal Drybase waterproofing coating.

In certain circumstances Drybase Waterproofing Plug may be applied as a dry powder. Place and hold the powder directly over the leak for 30 – 40 seconds.

Consumption

Depending on the size of the water leak – Approx.: 0.3 kg / water leak.
