The Oldroyd Gtx is a versatile polypropylene cavity drainage membrane outfitted with a geotextile filter fleece. Known variously as a ‘fin drain’, ‘geocomposite membrane’, or ‘geocomposite’, this product is a critical component in various drainage and waterproofing applications.

Widely used in basement waterproofing, the Oldroyd Gtx Geotextile Membrane acts as a secondary drainage layer. The primary waterproofing is typically provided by the structure itself, such as concrete compliant with BS8007, or by a tanking slurry or membrane as per BS8012 type A standards. In these scenarios, applying the Oldroyd Gtx to the external walls of the basement offers the benefit of reducing pressure on the primary waterproofing system as water pressure is diverted away from the basement walls.

Beyond basement applications, the Oldroyd Gtx Geotextile Membrane can also provide efficient drainage on horizontal surfaces like driveways and patios. It is also suitable for use in ground gas mitigation.
