Dryseal Masonry Waterproofing Cream (3L)

£69.40 inc. VAT (ex. VAT: £57.83)

Dryseal Masonry Waterproofing Cream (3L) is a deep-penetrating, water-repellent masonry cream designed to reduce penetrating damp from wind-driven rain while still letting walls breathe. It goes on white so you can see where youโ€™ve treated, then dries completely clear without staining the surface. Because itโ€™s thixotropic, Dryseal is easier to control than many liquid water repellents and can be applied in a single working operation by brush, roller, or low-pressure spray.

  • Deep-penetrating siloxane cream that bonds into porous masonry
  • Stops liquid rainwater soaking in but remains vapour permeable (breathable)
  • One-coat application (second coat usually not needed)
  • Goes on white for easy coverage checks, then dries colourless
  • Can be applied to damp surfaces (but not saturated)
  • Becomes effective after drying (approx. 3 hours) with rain resistance normally achieved within 3 hours
  • Helps protect against efflorescent salts that can damage paintwork
  • 3L tub covers up to 25mยฒ (1 coat) depending on substrate porosity

Dryseal Masonry Waterproofing Cream 3L – Breathable Protection Against Penetrating Damp

If youโ€™ve got external walls taking a hammering from wind-driven rain, the problem is often simple: porous masonry absorbs water, then holds onto it. Dryseal Masonry Waterproofing Cream (3L) is designed to reduce that absorption. It forms a water-repellent barrier inside the pores, helping stop rainwater soaking in, while still allowing water vapour to escape so the wall can โ€œbreatheโ€.

This makes it especially useful on properties with cavity fill insulation, where keeping the outer leaf drier can help reduce the risk of saturation and improve overall performance.

What Makes Dryseal Masonry Waterproofing Cream Different From A Typical Liquid Water Repellent

Dryseal is a thixotropic cream rather than a thin liquid. In real terms, that means:

  • Itโ€™s easier to control on vertical surfaces,
  • You can usually achieve the correct loading in one working operation, and
  • Itโ€™s less prone to mess and run-off than many traditional water-repellent liquids.

It applies white so you can see your coverage, then dries clear/colourless and wonโ€™t stain the masonry.

Where Dryseal Masonry Waterproofing Cream Is Typically Used

Dryseal is used as a masonry protection cream for external walls to help reduce:

  • Penetrating damp (wind-driven rain absorption),
  • Damage linked to water and pollutants,
  • Frost/salt related deterioration in vulnerable masonry.

Dryseal Masonry Waterproofing Cream Application

Dryseal is applied undiluted by brush, roller, or low-pressure spray.
Depending on porosity, an application rate of up to 0.2 L/mยฒ can be applied in one go without material loss.

Drying / weather performance: it becomes effective after drying (around 3 hours) and rain resistance is normally achieved within 3 hours.
Full cure: up to 2 weeks, depending on conditions.

Dryseal Masonry Waterproofing Cream Coverage

3 litres covers up to 25mยฒ (1 coat) – but this is heavily dependent on substrate porosity, so a 1-2mยฒ trial area is the best way to calculate your real-world coverage.
